finally managed to set some time to read Yakuza Moon after like a year or so? No wonder i’ve been hearing great raves from it. This is seriously a book where no woman would have to go through in life unless perhaps if you grow up in a Yakuza family -.-”

The gist of the story is that Shoko is a daughter of an influential yakuza who also happened to have legit business as a frontcover. No sense of the flashy lifestyle here, we delve into the inner pits of Shoko’s hell…from being a yanki (sorta deliquent student) to getting addicted to speed (a type of recreation drug) to the life of being a kept woman time and again. One can get pretty emotional reading this as Shoko’s writing mesmerizes one right from the first page. It’s a pretty thin book so even if you’re a slow reader you can definitely finish this within a week or 2.

…of Koichi Domoto’s Kagen no Tsuki…

…i was just browsing thru the web looking for more updates on Kenshin’s live action movie and came across this MV of Koichi Domoto from Kinki Kids. I so used to love watching them perform (actually till date i still like listening to their songs sometimes) especially Tsuyoshi in that Kindaichi series…lol

anyway, the MV was showing Kenshin in the first OVA (Trust & Betrayal) and also Tomoe (but she looked more like Kaoru instead of Tomoe) and it wasnt half bad :p though now i have to wait patiently until 2012 for the real Kenshin movie to be out :p can’t wait for the latest anime to be out though

…any true bred Singaporean would know what this initial –> TSGS means….what you didnt know? haish…it’s True Singapore Ghost Stories… duh @_@ of course i just saw their latest book (Book 21) and of course i loaned it out (One of the perks of working in the library…mwahaha)

anyway, I grew up (like most people in Singapore would have done) reading this series bu Rusell Lee who, up to date have never even shown his face to the public! You can read more details at their website here. anyway, i have yet to read the book so i’m stashing it away to be read in office during my lunch break :p

…Of a movie titled ‘Karak’…

…ok i was highly anticipating a very good movie of this…in the end, it was pretty predictable @_@ but the effects are scary if u watch it at night with all the lights off (obviously).

most of you might have heard a thing or two about the infamously famous Karak Highway in Malaysia…it’s supposed to be like one of the top haunted highway in Malaysia (or is it the only one?)

anyway, this movie is good if you’re scaring yourself once in a while…better to watch in a big group or if you have a partner that gets jumpy easily…

…of Kenshin & Live-Action Film…

if you have noticed, i am lately still in the Kenshin-mania which i suspect will last until the live action movie will be released next year (that’s pretty long @_@) or until i find a new addiction to replace this current still-healthy level zone addiction of mine @_@

anyway, Yes…to all Kenshin-manics like (yes, those who profess it obviously or in hiding) most would have heard the news that there’s going to be a… #1: a new anime release (maybe next year?) and #2: a live-action film that will be release in 2012 –> http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-06-27/sankei-sports/rurouni-kenshin-manga-gets-live-action-film

Ureshii neeeeeeeeee *jumps for joy* ah well, i can indulge myself in other animes in the meantime but let’s just cross our fingers that the live-action will be good. i think it should be since the creator himself (Nobuhiro Watsuki) had already decided who to be Kenshin Come to think of it, the only anime i didnt enjoy watching on film was maybe….Dragonball was it? It wasnt as ‘wow’ as Death Note…Guess you still need them to be in Japanese if you’re popping out the anime to live-action film…
